However, now comes the tricky part -where to find the videos you just saved?
How to Find Your Saved Snaps?
When you save the snap you were sending – it gets stored on your device (and on your account).
Don’t worry, you do not have to make a mess in the file manager to find the saved video. You can access it directly on the Snapchat app itself.
You just need to go to the memories section to find them. While recording a video or on the main screen, you will find an icon with “two cards“.

- If you try to take a screenshot of a snap, your friends will be notified about it.

Those applications are usually redundant that does nothing. Or, in some cases, they just want to collect your data.

Methods to Save Snapchat Videos to Your Phone
There are two possible ways in which you can get the job done on iOS and Android. Here they are:
Use In-built Screen Recording to Save Snaps on iPhone
If you are an iOS user and have an iPhone/iPad with you, it is quite easy to record the screen to save a snap.
Do note that we assume that you haven’t opened the snap yet (or it hasn’t expired).
If that is the case, you can simply swipe up on your iPhone to observe the recording button as shown in the image above. Once, you see it, you just need to tap on it to start recording.
And, then after it starts recording, feel free to launch the Snapchat app and open the story/snap you want to save.
After you are done, stop the recording to save the video on your iPhone.
So, this is a workaround for iOS devices to have a copy of the snaps. You can further utilize a video editor on your PC or mobile to make changes (or crop the video to contain the snap).

Use Screen Recorder Apps on Android to Record Snaps
Unfortunately, Android does not offer a native screen recording feature. So, you will have to utilize the screen recording applications available on the Play Store.

This is definitely not a convenient option. However, if nothing works out for you, just grab another device and use the camera app to record the snap while playing it on your primary device.
You can go for this – if it’s something really urgent and you want proof of the story and snap.

Snapchat videos play an important role in the social media app. If it is your story, you can save it before sharing it. But, if you have already shared it – you may not be able to save it unless you have it in your stories.
